4 Flute Hole Hog
™ Super Premium Drills

Special Hi-Molybdenum tool steel, gold surface
treated body and clearance for maximum lubricity. Close
tolerance construction. This tool is designed for enlarging
existing holes exclusively. The 4 flute design eliminates
the catching and hogging-in experienced with standard
S & D drills when breaking through thinner materials
such as truck frames. These core drills may replace tapered
reamers in many applications. 3 Flats on the shank. |

BOLT REMOVER SETS
A unique combination of left hand spiral drills
and bolt/screw extractors. Both BR sets provide
these benefits: (Also see BR-8SQ below)
- Fast and easy stud removal.
- Left hand spiral drills often eliminate the need
for bolt and screw extractors.
- Drill may loosen bolt stud with counter clockwise
rotation.
- 135° split point drill will cut harder metals
than a 118° point drill. Most broken studs are work
hardened during the breaking process.

Stud and Pipe Extractors - Type 421-UB |
Studout ™
Super Premium Forged Hi-Carbon Steel, Gold finish
The square shape of these extractors gives the tools
the ability to remove broken bolts, screws and pipes with
minimum deformation of the broken part. The forged construction
imparts an extra degree of toughness, which reduces extractor
breakage. To remove the broken threaded part: Drill a
hole in the end of the broken part (left hand spiral heavy
duty drills are recommended for this drilling operation),
insert extractor and turn counter clockwise using a wrench
on the exposed end of the extractor. The broken part should
unscrew without damage to the threads. These forged extractors
will not chew up or expand the object being removed.

This rugged high performance drill is designed to effectively
cut auto body panel spot welds. The high red hardness
of cobalt steel permits speeds 30% greater than H.S.S.
drills. Cobalt steel is substantially more abrasion resistant,
resulting in very long wearing cutting edges. The spur
point on the Type 492-D is designed to cut through the
weld on one panel while leaving the second panel free
of holes. The modified point of the Type 493-D drill is
chip resistant with slightly greater penetration into
the second panel.

* These twin end drills will cut twice as many spotwelds
with the added advantage of longer reach to drill the
less accessible spotwelds.
There are many spotweld drilling systems
in use. Some have a significant amount of adjustment for
the length of the drill. If you have a system that will
not operate using one of the lengths specified, special
lengths can be made to accommodate your needs. Call for
price. The three sizes without flats are for use in standard
air powered drill motors. This makes freehand spotweld
drilling available to all body shops. |
