nut tap

Used for tapping nuts in nut tapping machines. They have a relatively long shank which is smaller than the minor diameter to permit the accumulation of several nuts while tapping. Available chamfer 1/2 the thread length.

Series 627STI - Screw Thread Insert Taps

screw thread interupt tap

STI (screw thread inserts) taps are slightly oversize to produce threads to accommodate helical wire screw inserts of the same size and pitch. STI taps are also ideal for short run production tapping in shallow blind or through holes. Available in plug and bottoming styles.
